Meet the Trillium Solutions Group Management Team
Steve Adelstein
Steve Adelstein is President and CEO of Trillium Solutions Group, Inc. Steve founded Trillium in 2002 with over seventeen years experience in leading successful business strategy and technology initiatives (from departmental application development to large scale federal programs) across a broad range of industries including financial services, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals and the government.
Prior to starting Trillium, Steve served as Vice President of Business Operations at Divine/Whittman-Hart, and Vice President of Solution Development at Whittman-Hart (later marchFIRST). Prior to Whittman-Hart, Steve was an Associate Partner with Accenture, where he delivered successful business and technology solutions to leading clients in Financial Services and the Public Sector, including Washington Mutual, Northern Trust, Sprint, Canada Post, and the US Postal Service.
Despite the demands of running a successful business, Steve also finds time to give back to the community by giving of his time and resources to organizations in the Chicagoland area. He and a team of his Trillium colleagues participate in the Hustle up the Hancock to benefit the American Lung Association. Steve is also an active member in PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter). While at Accenture he worked with the United Way in St. Louis and continues to work with the chapter in his hometown of Highland Park. Steve also sits on the Advisory Board of the Chicago office of the Taproot Foundation. He has also actively supported the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and the American Heart Association.
Steve's thought leadership as an entrepreneur has earned him mention in publications such as Crain's Chicago Business as part of a feature on small businesses. Steve also sits on the Reception & Professional Committees of Chicago's Executives' Club as well as the Advisory Council of the Chicago office of the Taproot Foundation.
Steve graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Systems Analysis from Miami University (Ohio) and is a Life member of Phi Kappa Phi, a national mathematics honor society.
Brad Vollmert
Brad Vollmert is the Managing Director of Staffing Solutions at Trillium. Bringing with him over 15 years of experience starting and building IT staffing companies in the Chicago area, Brad is responsible for all client and consultant operations. His success stems from his uncanny ability to build a team of over achievers and keep them focused on achieving their goals with honesty and integrity. Prior to joining Trillium, Brad held management and leadership positions with such companies as MRI, Herman Draack, Nims Associates and Consultis.
Brad received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing/Sales from Northern Illinois University (NIU).
Brad is a regular guest lecturer at NIU, is an active member of Project Management Institute (PMI), Technical Leader Association (TLA), and International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA). He is also Chairman of the Leadership Council of his church and coaches his children's sports teams. Motivated by his nephew with special needs, Brad is committed to and supportive of the Special Olympics at the regional and state levels of competition.
Jennifer Hill
Jenn is Director of Knowledge Management at Trillium and is responsible for creating & maintaining systems to manage the firm's intellectual capital.
With over twelve years of experience leading successful software implementations in the telecommunications industry, Jenn has deep expertise in program, project, relationship management and testing architecture. She specializes in fostering partner relationships, creating and leading high performing teams on critical initiatives, and developing the test methodology for large-scale systems integrations across the spectrum of technology environments.
Prior to joining Trillium, Jenn was a Senior Manager with Accenture, where she delivered software solutions for clients such as Verizon, Level 3, SBC and Sprint.
Jenn received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Management of Information Systems from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.
William Fraser
William Fraser is a Director at Trillium.
Bill has held IT leadership positions within the engineering and construction industry for over 15 years including 5 years as a CIO. He has extensive experience with IT organizational design & management, governance and portfolio management and a wide range of technologies. Bill provides targeted CIO coaching for Trillium's CIO clients.
Prior to joining Trillium, Bill was the VP & CIO of Harza Engineering (Now Montgomery Watson Harza) where he was responsible for driving technology strategy, development and operations for the firm.
Bill received both a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Finance and an MBA from the University of Miami.
Donna Lenczycki
Donna is Director of Recruiting at Trillium and is responsible for recruiting and coordinating the placement of resources for client engagements. She has deep experience in program management, strategic planning, personnel management, systems integration, and vendor management.
Before joining Trillium, Donna served as CIO of DuPage County, IL where she administered a department of 70 IT staff on a 24/7 operating schedule with an annual budget in excess of $7 million. She was responsible for application areas as diverse as Courts, Law
Enforcement, Property Assessment, Tax Billing/Collection, Public Safety, Emergency Management/Homeland Security, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and the County’s general business functions.
While at DuPage County, she managed organization-wide comprehensive, multi-faceted Strategic Plan and E-Government Strategy projects, partnering with diverse business areas and external consultants, resulting in a plan to position for future IT stability. Prior to DuPage County, Donna held IT positions in the transportation and insurance industries.
Donna is an active member in the Society for Information Management (SIM) Chicago Chapter and the Chicago Senior Women in Technology (SWIT).
Donna received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and has completed Six Sigma Green Belt training.
Carlos A. Cruz III
Carlos Cruz is the Director of Solutions Engineering at Trillium. Cruz joined Trillium in 2002 shortly after its founding and is responsible for growing its consulting services offerings, developing its core methodologies and ensuring quality delivery to all clients.
Carlos has over 12 years of experience delivering successful business strategy and business process initiatives to clients across a broad range of industries including Financial Services, Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods, Transportation and Logistics, High Tech, and Not-for-Profit. His clients include a number of Fortune 50 and Forbes 50 members as well as small and medium sized industry leaders.
Prior to joining Trillium, Cruz was a Senior Manager at Accenture, LLC.
Carlos received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and his MBA in International Marketing and Finance from DePaul University's Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.
Carlos chairs the advisory board for DePaul University's Alumni Sharing Knowledge network and participates annually in a number of charitable events and races whose organizations focus on finding cures for cancer.
Michael Szymanski
Mike is Director of Marketing at Trillium where he is responsible for the firm's internal and external communications efforts, partner relationships, business development as well as consulting service definition and development. He has more than ten years of consulting and industry experience driving marketing, product development, IT, operations, and strategy solutions for firms in the Fortune and Forbes 500. His experience includes work in the Financial Services, Telecommunications, Government, and Healthcare industries.
Prior to joining Trillium in 2006, Mike's experience includes product development roles with AOL, LLC in its International and Interactive TV divisions, as well consulting for clients such as Neustar, Blah!, the National Institutes of Standards and Technology and Towers Perrin.
Mike is active as a volunteer project manager for the Chicago office of the Taproot Foundation, which provides pro-bono professional services to local non-profit organizations. He works as an alumni of the Venture Capital Investment Competition, sponsored by the University of North Carolina's Kauffman Center for Entrepreneurship, to provide MBA candidates the opportunity to sharpen their investment skills with real entrepreneurs and venture capitalists.
Mike received his Bachelor of Arts in Russian Area Studies from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and his MBA from Georgetown University.
